Well let's see it's been since November 2006 that I've been TRYING and TRYING to get started on the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover plan. It seems like when I get 2 steps ahead I fall about 3 steps back. :( Things don't always go as planned I guess.
But I sit in the chat room and read on the forums and on other people's blogs all the time how they "found" extra money in their budget once they started doing an actual budget.
I have been budgeting now for a few months, and I have yet to find extra money. We barely make enough to cover our 4 walls of expenses. I know it's time for another job but that's easier said than done too. Of course Dave Ramsey never said it would be easy at all but I get so frustrated at how I just can't seem to get ahold onto this BUDGET!!
I'm not sure what to do, which way to turn anymore. We've cut back on a lot already and there's really nothing else we can cut back on. I feel like when I tell people about my situation they assume I'm not really trying as hard as I say I am.
Guess it's more of a feeling sorry for ourselves thing but it just really isn't a good feeling at all and I really need to get control here!
I'm NOT giving up though! I'm going to beat this feeling and I'm going to beat this debt and I'm going to work it and work it more until I get there!!

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone in that boat. When I start to get down on myself for my seeming inability to roll a snowball (for crying out loud!), I try to remember Matthew 17:20 and keep in mind that faith in myself is a part of that.
